Battery powered car

 I found it hard to get the car working beacause we had to wire it all up with real wires and had to cut one in half with a wire cutter, We also had to get it perfect so other people could have the full experience making it with out having any down sides, But (of couse) I messed it up and they were not the same linth, So that was a big mess up. I found it easy to screw the screws in because we had a screw driver that had a little nut on it to spin and making it easyer to put the screws in the plastic. I enjoyed having a good challenge on my hands for that time. Next time I will try a bit harder to get it working because there was alot of circuits to put on the car.

Brain box

The brain box is a kid friendly box of circuits, The wires are incased in plastic and you can do heaps of stuff with them, Like making soud, light, wind and sirens. We found it hard to get the sound working, we did get it working at some point but we didn't get the sirens working so that was sad :( . I found it easy to get the fan working because there was instructions and you get everything you needed have to get it working. I enjoyed making the sound because it was a nice to have a challenge with some technology. Next time I will try a bit harder to get a siren going.

 

Tokyo Olympics acrostic poem

 I found it easy to find the background because I could just go on to the backgrounds button and chose a backgroound from google. I found it hard to think of words to do on the acrostic poem because it had to do with something from the Olympics or that goes with the Olympics and we also had to put Tokyo before Olympics because we were in the better writing group. I also found it hard to get all the word arts in because it took ages to think of what i was going to do then I had to put them all in with word art, I also took the first letters out of the words and made them bigger in word art so that took a bit longer then I exspected it to take. I enjoyed making the words gradient and puting the background in. Next time I will put a bit more space for the words to sit.

Spring limrick poem

I found it easy to put the background in because all you had to do was go to the gradient and put the blue and cyan in to make the background that colour. I also found it easy to put the flower and sun in because you could just use the shapes to get the flower and sun in for an easy job and it also looks ok. I found it hard to think of what I was going to write for the Spring limrick poem because at the time I had just done some steps web and my brain needed to get back into writing again. I enjoyed making the publishing slide because I could do what ever I wanted to do that had sothing to do with Spring which fun to do. Next tim I will  put a bit more pazaze into the writing because it would have gone a bit beter with Spring.

Coin drop

 you'll need: coin/s, cup and a peice of paper. put the paper on the cup then put the coin/s on the paper then flick the paper and try and get the coin. we found out that the more coins you put on the peice of paper the it is more easy to get the coins into the cup. the less coins on the paper the harder it is to get the coin in the cup. 

When we did coin drop we had to take turns at flicking the the peice of paper to get the coin in the cup. 

Cold air balloon

goal: get the balloon to pop. Test 1: Cold air balloon is a mixture of vinager and baking soda mixed with water then it makes a chemical reaction that makes the balloon blow up and makes the balloon cold. what you'll need: you'll need baking soda a balloon and waterbottle and vinager. the balloon should blow up and stay like that for a long time. the balloon did not pop.

Test 2: We got a milk bottle this time, and put 1 cup and 1/2 of baking soda in the balloon and put 2 and 1/2 cups of vinager then put the balloon on the milk bottle and lift up the balloon to get the baking soda in the balloon then watch the magic happen. 

Test 3: this time we got a one liter pump bottle, we just poured the vinager in the bottle and put heaps of baking soda in the ballon, you will need to get a stronger balloon then the last two times to make the top of the balloon not to brake when you put it on the bottle, also put a bit of tape where the lid goes on the bottle.

the balloon got really big this time but did not pop.

 

 

Persuasive writing

We were learning about how to make a quality piece of persuasive writing that is persuading people be prepared r or to not be prepared for a natual disaster. We had to make this for our 

I found it hard to get the information I needed from kiddle and the sites provided beacause they didn't give you all the information you needed to make a good piece of persuasive writing. I also found it hard to write down all the information because their was alot to write down in the time provided.

I found it easy to publish the writing on to a google slide beacause you could just copy and paste my writing from my draft copy. I also found it easy to get the polylines done because google slides had all the tools I needed to make a good polyline. 

Next time I will make my grammar better and put the capital letters at the start of a sentence. Next time I also will get a bit more information on what I'm writing about.
